Hackathon2021

What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon has very little to do with common ideas of breaking into computers. A hackathon is an educational coding event where people come together to collaborate to build a usable solution (normally a digital solution) to a problem. Hackathons are coding marathons, they are typically held over the weekend but we instead opted for a single day. It was an opportunity for students to get together and build things and hone their programming skills.

The seniors were involved in a competitive project building event where the best projects were awarded prizes. The Junior track consisted of coding workshops to get them on track with learning to code.

Special Guests

Nyari Samushonga

We have two special guests from industry coming to engage with us. Nyari is an accountant by training and is now the CEO of WeThinkCode, South Africa’s Largest Training Institute For Web & Software Developers.
